Journey Re-Entry Plans and Update

July 2, 2020

Hello Journey Family,

I hope this message finds you well. Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this message. I have a few very important updates for you.

First, we’ve made good use of the “pause” caused by the pandemic to do a lot of “behind the scenes” kinds of things. One of the biggest undertakings has been to get better organized. Consequently, we’ve merged our College Avenue and Journey Church data bases, updated our directory, and have learned a few ways to get more use out of REALM. Thanks to everyone who helped us get our church directory up to date!

By the way, this is the first attempt to send out a mass email through REALM. Since you are reading this message that means it worked! It also means we have your correct email address. That’s great!!!

Second, please be aware that our worship service will be online via Facebook live on Sunday, July 4. We are working to prep the building for reentry, hook-up wiring for overflow rooms, recruit and train volunteers, etc. Please let us know if you are available to help with re-entry in anyway.

Third, we anticipate that we will be able to re-enter the building on Sunday, July 12. We have decided that with the use of overflow rooms we can manage to do it, initially at least, in one service. Our plan is to worship indoors at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 12. We look forward to seeing you! I’ve attached a list of FAQs to help give you an idea of how it may look.

We understand that not everyone will be comfortable with gathering indoors. Please know that we respect that and want everyone to do what you feel is best for you and your loved ones. While we will miss everyone who chooses not to gather indoors, we hope you will still want to join us in other ways. Please see the FAQs for other options that will be available to you.

Whether you join us indoors, or not, please know that you are greatly loved. I speak for all the staff at Journey when I say that we are honored and blessed to serve you. We look forward to seeing each of you again whether that is on July 12, or at some later date.

As always, please don’t hesitate to let us know if we can be of any service to you.

Have a Happy Fourth of July!

In Christ’s Love,

Clark Killingsworth, Senior Associate Pastor
